Shipping and Delivery Policy
IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING CANADA POST STRIKE:
With the announcement that Canada Post has resumed mail delivery, all new and unshipped orders will be shipped on October 20. There may be delivery delays, so we adjust the packaging accordingly. We will be forced to stop shipping if further strike action is taken.
Winter Cold Weather Shipping Policy - In effect from November 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026.
VERY IMPORTANT: Someone must be available to receive the package at the delivery address. If necessary, use an alternate delivery address to ensure that your order is not left outside or in an outdoor community mailbox in the cold temperatures.
Our shipping options have changed for winter. Customers can now select their preferred shipping rate at checkout. Between November 1 and March 31, Canada Post Expedited shipping is only recommended for orders to Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan or for non-insect orders. If expedited shipping is selected on insect orders to provinces other than Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan during this time, our live arrival guarantee will be voided.
The shipment of live orders may be delayed during delivery due to excessively cold weather. Mealworm orders will only ship if the forecasted overnight temperature is above -15⁰C during transit.
Live Arrival Guarantee
The majority of our orders arrive without issue, but we understand that some loss may occur when shipping live orders. To account for this, we include up to 10% extra (depending on travel distance) with every shipment.
If losses exceed this buffer, please email us within 2 hours of delivery and include a clear photo of the losses. Once verified, we will provide a replacement or a refund for the affected items.

Standard Shipping Policy
We ship to all Canadian provinces and territories, including PO boxes. We do not ship internationally.
Insects cannot survive extreme temperatures or be permitted to sit in a warehouse or community mailbox for a weekend. As such, live insect orders are only mailed weekly on Mondays (Tuesday if Monday is a holiday) but they may be delayed in the event of excessively cold or hot weather during the delivery time. For mealworm orders, we will only ship if the forecasted temperatures are above -15⁰C and below 25⁰C. For red wigglers, this temperature range is between 0⁰C and 25⁰C. Live orders must be received the day before shipping to allow for processing time. Non-live orders will be shipped within 3 business days of payment.
If you provide an email when you place your order, you will receive a shipping confirmation email, including a tracking number, once your order is fulfilled. Please check your spam folder before contacting us regarding order status.
